"Home" is a narrative painting. Narrative paintings are supposed to hint at a story that is happening within the painting. When finding my reference for this piece I saw my mom kneading dough in the kitchen and I thought it would be a perfect painting to tell a story. I made the background simple so that the character would be more emphasized. This was originally done in acrylic on a 11" x 14" canvas. The artwork is printed onto high quality paper to ensure that UV light does not discolor or distort the image in any way.
